Privacy Policy

Proper Delivery Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK delivery company based in Brighton, registered in England & Wales under company number 14014142. We provide food, parcel and long-distance courier deliveries, and we operate apps for customers, couriers and business partners. This policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you use our website, our apps or our delivery services, or when you apply to work or partner with us.

We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this policy at Properdelivery@icloud.com.

Delivery customers. Your name, contact details, delivery addresses, order details, collection or locker codes, and driver notes you give us so we can complete your delivery.

Driver applicants. Your full name, email address, phone number, home address, chosen transport and licence details, and the right-to-work documents you upload (such as passport, driving licence and CBT certificate). Documents are stored securely and privately, and are only viewed by authorised staff to check your application.

Business partners. The business name, type and address, contact email, service preferences and opening times you give us in the partner form.

Technical data. Basic usage information from our website and apps, such as device type and how the pages are used, to keep them working well.

We use your data to:

• deliver your orders and keep you updated with live tracking;
• assess driver applications and verify right-to-work documents;
• set up and manage business partnerships;
• send you service updates and respond to your messages;
• meet our legal obligations, including right-to-work checks;
• keep our service safe, prevent fraud and resolve disputes.

We rely on: performing our contract with you, our legal obligations, our legitimate interests in running the business, and your consent where it is needed (for example for marketing messages).

We share personal data only where it is needed: with the couriers delivering your order (only the details they need to complete it), with the business your order is from, with our technology providers who host our systems and send our emails, and with authorities where the law requires it. We never sell your data. When we use providers outside the UK, we make sure your data is protected in line with UK data protection law.

We keep delivery and order records for up to 6 years so we can handle queries, refunds and tax obligations. Driver application documents are kept only as long as needed to assess your application and meet right-to-work rules — if you are not taken on, they are deleted within 12 months. Partner records are kept while the partnership is active and for up to 6 years after it ends. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where the law allows.

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email Properdelivery@icloud.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Our website uses only the essential cookies and storage needed to keep the site working and to keep you signed in where relevant. We do not use advertising trackers.
