Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Proper Delivery Ltd’s website, apps and delivery services. By placing an order, using our apps, or submitting an application as a driver or business partner, you agree to them. Proper Delivery Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales (company number 14014142), based in Brighton. Contact: Properdelivery@icloud.com.

Our delivery services

We provide local food and parcel delivery, Click & Collect deliveries (including shop, locker and parcel-shop collection), Amazon Locker collection (Brighton & Hove) and a long-distance courier service from Brighton, up to 70 miles and beyond. We always aim to deliver on time, but times given are estimates and not guarantees. Traffic, weather and venue preparation times can cause delays, and we will keep you informed where we can.

Orders and payment

Prices are shown at checkout before you pay. Click & Collect orders are paid at checkout; you receive a collection code which you include in the delivery note on our order form so the rider can collect on your behalf. You are responsible for giving correct addresses, codes and notes — we may be unable to complete a delivery if the details you provide are wrong. If something goes wrong with your order, contact us and we will put it right, offering a redelivery or refund where appropriate.

Live tracking

Where live tracking is offered, the rider’s location shown in the app is approximate and provided for convenience. Tracking data may be delayed or unavailable in poor network conditions.

For courier drivers

To apply, you must be legally entitled to work in the UK and give accurate details, including your full name, address, phone number, email, transport type and — where required — your driving licence details and any supporting documents such as a CBT certificate or fast food insurance. Uploading false, unreadable or incomplete documents, or giving false information, will end your application. Submitting an application does not guarantee engagement; we check every application and will contact you with the outcome. Drivers using a bicycle or electric bicycle do not need a driving licence; other transport types require the appropriate licence.

For business partners

Businesses applying to partner with us must give accurate business details, including the trading name, business type, address, service wanted and opening times. You are responsible for the quality and safety of the goods you hand to us for delivery, for preparing orders on time, and for complying with food hygiene and other laws that apply to your business. We may decline or end a partnership where a business repeatedly fails these requirements.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse our website, apps or services: no attempts to breach security, disrupt the service, upload malicious code, or use our platforms for unlawful goods or purposes. We may suspend access to anyone who does.

Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence, but nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability for any claim connected with a delivery is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for losses caused by incorrect details you provide, or for events outside our reasonable control.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
